Exert taken from TVSoap (1992) Double Image:
New Zealand actor Lani John Tupu is a star on both sides of the Tasman. The good-looking actor is juggling roles in the new Kiwi drama series Marlin Bay and Australia's ABC action drama Police Rescue.
In Marlin Bay he plays the casino owner, David Spence. In Police Rescue he plays David Goldberg, Constable Georgia Rathray's (Sonia Todd) new romantic interest.
Lani is one of NZ's most popular actors, having featured as a regular in the long-running Country GP.
Lani left for Australia six years ago and scored coveted roles in Embassy, Mission Impossible, GP-A Country Practise and the second series of Police Rescue.
"It was a bit of a coincidence that I should go to Australia and land a role in the ABC's GP as I believe it was actually modelled on Country GP!"
Lani, who owes his dark good looks to an English mother and Samoan father, has barely been unemployed since moving across the Tasman.
